Dev Log #2 Production

When I was designing a game UI, I find that I always want to make the UI design more refined. This meant that I needed to add more details, elements that expressed the theme of the game and what colors to use for the final UI, As well as, I need to control the size of the game UI. But out of consideration and focus on the content of the game, I had to give up on attracting the attention of the gamers playing the game in terms of the art.

However, I found that when looking for playtesters, we were not able to attract many players to this game. I think the main reasons for this are: 1. people don't have so much time and energy in their lives to be occupied with doing something that is not necessary; 2. the theme and content of the game is not attractive; 3. players don't get any reward that can attract them after doing playtesting (if they like the game and enjoy what they learn during playtesting, then they might be willing to do playtesting.)

When we discuss playtesting reports, I prefer to regroup the group members responsible for writing the related content when we have problems and things to consider. Rather than taking up the time of all the group members where it is not needed. And I think this is also a problem for our group in terms of meeting together. Although we had regular meetings every week, each one was an hour and a half or even two hours long. I think this is all a sign of a lack of productivity. Longer meetings mean that more of the group's personal energy is required. I believe that in many cases, some of the group members are no longer able to focus on the main goal of each meeting, including myself.
